Health News: Obama Calls For Efforts On Health Care
Washington – President Obama, marking the beginning of their health and to push the Congress urges the Government to “address the root causes of the sharp increase in health costs.”
In his weekly radio and the Internet address on Saturday morning, Mr. Obama said he wants to see that health reform is to reduce costs, improve quality and coverage and protection of the choice of consumers.
“It is, if you wish, you can use,” he said. “If you, as a doctor you have, you can use with your doctor, too. The only change you will see that the cost of our reform.”
As his accomplishments, which remain in the air, the address was long on broad objectives, and few opportunities. Mr. Obama said he made it clear that the Congress of the health reform should not be included in the budget deficit.
“We’re working with Congress to cover the expenses through rigorous cost reductions and additional income,” said Obama. “We have to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse in health care, but they are also the main causes of rising costs – the savings of several billion, while the best offer the American people.”
Mr. Obama is ready to fight for health reform since taking office, for a summit on health and on the invitation of leaders of the White House, where they have publicly pledged $ 2 billion in medical costs over the next ten years.
“Simply put, the status quo is broken,” said Obama in the address. “We can not continue like that. If we do nothing, all medical services are currently being questioned. In ten years, one of five dollars we spend, we deserve it, for health care – and we believe that less and less for our money.”
Address by Mr. Obama has come as we approach the end of his travels abroad. On Saturday, he was in France at a celebration organized on the occasion of 65 years – anniversary of D-Day.
